How We Help People in Brampton

We work with individuals, couples, and families facing:

Meet with us online from your Brampton home, or visit our Mississauga office (15 minutes via Highway 410). We serve Bramalea, Springdale, Heart Lake, Sandalwood, and Bovaird.

A warm, diverse couple sits together during a therapy session. The woman, who has curly hair and dark skin, smiles and gently touches the arm of the man, who has medium skin, glasses, and a thoughtful expression. They sit across from a female therapist, who is seen from behind holding a clipboard and pen. The setting is cozy and neutral-toned, creating a calm atmosphere.

What Makes
Cornerstone Different

All Our Therapists Are Registered

Every counsellor holds a master’s degree and is registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). Our Clinical Director holds both a PhD and a Doctor of Counselling and Psychotherapy.

We Use What Actually Works

Our therapists use evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and trauma-informed care. These methods have decades of research backing them. Learn more about our approach.

Christian Faith Integration (Optional)

For clients who want it, we can integrate Christian values and principles into therapy. This is completely optional. We’re a non-denominational clinic that welcomes people of all backgrounds and beliefs.

We Understand Brampton's Diversity

Brampton is one of Canada’s most multicultural cities. Our therapists work with clients from South Asian, Caribbean, African, and many other communities. We understand navigating multiple cultures, dealing with family expectations, and finding your own path. Several therapists speak languages beyond English, including Arabic.

Common Questions From Brampton Residents

Do you take insurance?

Many extended health plans cover registered psychotherapy. We provide receipts you can submit for reimbursement. Call 905-214-7363 to confirm your coverage before booking.

It varies. Some people see improvement in 4-8 sessions. Others work with us for several months. We’ll create a plan based on what you’re dealing with. You can stop whenever you feel ready.

We offer evening (online and in-person) and Saturday (online only) appointments for working professionals. Online sessions also eliminate travel time.

We get it. Reaching out takes courage, especially when you’re not even sure it’s the right move.

Here’s the thing: you don’t need to have it all figured out before you walk through our door. Lots of people start therapy feeling uncertain. Maybe you’re worried your problems aren’t “big enough.” Or you’re not sure talking will actually help. Or you’ve tried therapy before, and it didn’t click.

All of that is completely okay.

Your first session is really just a conversation. We’ll listen to what’s going on, answer your questions, and help you figure out if therapy makes sense for you right now. There’s no pressure to commit to anything beyond that first meeting.

And if therapy isn’t the right fit? We’ll be honest about that too. We’d rather you find the right kind of support than feel stuck in something that doesn’t feel helpful.

Our registered therapists charge $150 for a 50 to 60 minutes session.

Need a lower rate? We have two options:

  • Sliding scale therapy – Reduced rates with our registered therapists based on your income. We’ll need to verify your income to determine your rate.
  • Affordable therapy – $50 per session with master’s level students who are directly supervised by our Clinical Director. Same quality care, lower cost while they complete their training. No income verification required.

Yes. Through the CARE grant from the Region of Peel, we provide free counselling to individuals and families receiving Ontario Works (OW) or Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) in Peel Region. Call 905-214-7363 and our intake team will walk you through the process.
