Arabic-Speaking Therapists in Mississauga
You Don’t Have to Translate How You Feel
Some things are easier to say in Arabic. Our therapists speak Arabic, so you don’t have to search for the right English words. You can speak freely, and they listen, in Arabic.
Many people worry about being judged for going to therapy, or what family might think. Everything you say to your therapist is private. It stays between you and them. If you want more privacy, you can also meet with your therapist online, from home, safely and securely.
Cost should not stop you from getting help. We offer lower fees based on income, and free therapy through the Region of Peel’s CARE grant for newcomers, low-income residents and people receiving OW or ODSP.
Moving to a new country is hard. You may be starting over, missing family, or feeling pressure to seem okay when you’re not. You don’t need to explain all of this before you come in. Our therapists work with Arabic-speaking and newcomer families every day. They understand, and they will not judge you.
Some people know exactly what they want to talk about. Others just know something feels wrong. Both are okay. Anxiety, depression, grief, family problems, parenting stress, whatever it is, you can bring it here. You choose the pace.
If your Christian faith is important to you, some of our therapists can include it in your sessions. If not, that’s okay too. Everyone is welcome here, no matter what you believe.
This might be a good fit if:
- You want to talk in Arabic, not English
- You’re afraid of what people might think if they knew
- Money has stopped you from calling before
- You’re new to Canada and everything feels like too much
- You’re not sure therapy is for you, and you want to talk about that first
If none of these fit exactly, call us anyway at 905-214-7363. Our intake team will help you figure out what you need, no pressure, no commitment.

Common Questions
Can I request to work entirely in Arabic?
Yes. Let our intake team know your preference, and they’ll match you with a therapist who can conduct the full session in Arabic.
Is online therapy available in Arabic?
Yes. All of our Arabic-speaking therapists offer online sessions, and Father Kyrillos Fakhouri sees clients online only.
Do you offer faith-integrated counselling in Arabic?
Yes, if you’d like. Our therapists can include your Christian faith in your sessions. If not, that’s okay too, everyone is welcome here, no matter what you believe.
We just moved to Canada. Is therapy still relevant for us?
Yes. Starting over in a new country is hard in ways that are difficult to explain to someone who hasn’t done it. A therapist who understands migration can help you make sense of it, in Arabic if that’s easier, without judgment. If you’d like to read more, see our posts on Anxiety in Newcomers to Canada and Mental Health Barriers for Immigrants and Refugees.
Is free therapy available to newcomers?
Often, yes. The Region of Peel’s CARE grant offers free counselling to Peel Region residents who are newcomers, living on a low income, or receiving OW or ODSP. Being a newcomer doesn’t change your eligibility on its own, and many people qualify without realizing it. Call 905-214-7363 and we can check for you.
How do I request an Arabic-speaking therapist?
You don’t need to, the forms on this page are already set to that preference. If you’d rather call, just mention it and our intake team will take it from there.
What if I’m not sure therapy is right for me?
That’s a perfectly reasonable place to start. Call us for a free 15-minute consultation, no session required. We’ll talk through what’s going on and help you decide whether therapy makes sense for you. There’s no obligation.
