
Anxiety therapy at Cornerstone helps people in Mississauga and Peel Region understand what is driving their anxiety and develop practical skills to manage it — skills they can use long after therapy ends.
Your heart races. Your mind keeps spinning. Worry starts to take up too much space. You may begin avoiding situations that feel overwhelming, lie awake at night, or feel tense, distracted, or physically unwell.
Anxiety is common, but that does not mean you have to keep living with it the way it is.

Anxiety is your body’s natural alarm system — designed to keep you safe. The problem happens when that alarm goes off even when there is no real danger. Over time, the pattern can start to run on its own.

We use evidence-based therapy for anxiety including CBT, which helps you notice and change unhelpful thought patterns, ACT, which helps you make space for difficult feelings without letting them control your life, and mindfulness-based approaches to help you slow down and respond more calmly.
Every therapist holds a master’s degree and is CRPO-registered. Our Clinical Director holds a PhD and a Doctor of Counselling and Psychotherapy.
